Mangaluru: All India 63 Cooperative week will be held from November 14 to 20 in the entire state. One day programme will be held at Mangaluru on November 18 with the direction of Karnataka state government.
Regarding the programme a discussion meet was held at SCDCC Bank in the leadership of Bank President Dr M N Rajendra Kumar, on Friday.
State consumer cooperation committee, state cooperative industrial bank Bengaluru, Karnataka state LAMPS committee Mysuru, DK district cooperative bank Mangaluru, district cooperative bank union, district milk federation and all the cooperative banks of the district are organising the one day programme, here in Mangaluru.
Addressing the gathering Dr Rajendra Kumar said that seven days of the cooperative week will be celebrated with separate motto on each day.
“Empowerment of youth and women through cooperative societies is the motto of Mangaluru’s programme,” he said.
Co-op Society Additional Manager B C Sateesh, Mysuru Reginal Co-Op Society Joint Manager H C Joshi and others were present in the meeting.
