Mangalore: People’s movement launched all over the state in 10 districts will have its impact on coastal region in Mangalore on May 22, when CM Yeddyurappa will address a predominantly BJP followers’ gathering at the Central Maidan at 2pm urging the recall of HR Bhardwaj for his political plan in bringing President’s rule by overthrowing an elected BJP government that has served people for 3 years now. The people’s movement is aimed at rousing public consciousness against the nefarious tactics of the opposing Congress Party to use the Governor to dislodge state BJP rule. This was explained in a press meet held at Jagannath Rao Joshi Soudha (BJP Office) on Saturday at 3-30 pm, former minister and Coastal Protection Zone chief, B Nagaraja Shetty.
He went onto say that Congress did not take its defeat in 3 by polls held in state, nor it could tolerate BJP on its pro-people planned activities. Therefore, it was creating various obstructions in state administration, and taking Raj Bahwan’s help to surmount BJP rule, which is highly condemnable, Shetty pointed out.
He demanded that the Governor’s urgent letter sent to President on Sunday should be immediately taken back, permission should be given by the Governor to hold Budget session on June 2 as decided by the cabinet, and the President (or the Centre) should remove the present Governor without delay. Based on these 3 demands from BJP will be announced and explained at a public agitation meeting to be held on May 22afternoon at the Central Maidan, he stated.
