Udupi : Western Range IGP Pratap Reddy has said the police have gathered information from the  victim regarding the recent gang rape case. He also said two persons who tried to destroy evidence to shield the accused have been arrested.

Addressing press persons, the IGP said Balachandra (40), the elder brother of Yogish, the accused and Harindra (29) the elder brother of another accused Hariprasad  have been arrested and will be produced before court on July 3, Wednesday.

The blood stains in the autorickshaw and other marks have been collected through scientific FSL model and  information has been gathered from the young woman following  much persuasion and effort.

The IGP further said the rape was committed at Onthibettu and that the charge sheet would be filed by the Manipal police.
