Mangalore: The unscientific plan of Comprehensive Development of city, drawn up by DK Minister Krishna Palemar, did not suit coastal citizens as it became difficult for them to build issues in city areas, and since the minister had failed to keep to his promises of making suitable amendments to the growth plan (CDP) to assist lower classes of people, former Surathkal MLA Vijay Kumar Shetty argued on Wednesday in his remarks expressed to newsmen.
The corporators also had condemned the 15% tax hike on property from April1 imposed by BJP, he added. He criticised MCC boss, Commissioner Dr. K.N Vijaya Prakash, for doing nothing on these issues, as a BJP puppet in MCC.
Lancelot P{into, Congress leader, stated that MCC collected funds for solid waste management for April but without taking  a step to do so in city. Shashidhar Hegde (former Mayor) pointed out that CD Plan was passed without discussions in the council meeting.
