Bangalore: When the new Lokayukta(Justice Shivaraj Patil) has resigned in a month on Monday under a cloud, the police of this public vigilance body on Tuesday, made a raid on residence and office of R. Sohan Kumar, Son-in-law of ex-CM B.S.Yeddyurappa, on Corruption-racket-busting procedures.
The search was done in vijayanagar home and Seshadripuram office. Documents and evidences relating to certain graft cases had to be found. But such raids did not perturb ex-CM Yeddyurappa. He asked the police to raid his houses in many places in city as well.
Yeddyurappa is out in koppala district, Campaigning for karodi Sanganna, against better advice not to. Sanganna may actually lose, because Yeddyurappa is canvassing voters support. Such is the turn of tides.
The BJP politicians and their families have been accused of land grabbing in and around city on a large scale. A Special court judge, N.K. Subhindra Rao is hearing on the 5 cases set against a shameless Yeddyurappa.
Meanwhile, Lokayukta Shivaraj Patil’s resignation has been accepted by state Government on Tuesday. The post is vacant now.
