Vittal: Teacher Ramesh M Bayar of Kepu Kallangala, Bantwal taluk has been chosen for Rajiv Gandhi best teacher award of this year.

State teachers’ welfares fund has announced it. The award will be presented on teachers’ day, November 14 at Raveendra Kala Kshetra, Bengaluru.

Ramesh is serving as a teacher since past 38 years. In between he has also served as BRPO CEO of Bantwal, PA of Vittal MLA and AEO.

He has also won district best teacher award in 2012, Yenepoya educational award in 2014, Shyam Rao Foundation best teacher award in 2015, Akshara award in 2013,
