Mangalore : Department of Chemistry St Aloysius College (Autonomous) inaugurated three-day National Seminar on “Emerging Trends in Chemical Sciences”, at Eric Mathias Hall of the college on February 14, Thursday.
Speaking after inaugurating the event, Dr BS Sherigara, former vice chancellor of Kuvempu University said that research in Chemistry field has crossed the borders of multiple branches. Further such kind of seminars will help the researchers to display their talent and motivate the students.
Presiding over the event, St Aloysius College Principal Fr Swebert D’Silva said that college will work to prvide as much as knowledge to students through seminars and urged the students to make use of it.
Dr A K Ashok, Professor in Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, delivered the keynote address.
College vice Principal Ronald Pinto, HoD of Chemistry Ivan Pinto and others were present.
