Mangalore :  The DK District Kannada Sahitya Parishat and the Kalkura Pratishtana jointly felicitated Ganapathi idol making artiste M Prabhaker Rao Mannagudda  at his residence recently. Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, District Sahitya Parishat President and President of the Pratishtana honoured the artiste by presenting him a shawl, flowers, fruits and memento.

Rao has so far  created 198 clay Ganesha idols in attractive  shapes. Even his family members are involved in this profession since decades. Polali Nityananda Karanth, Sudhaker Rao, Ramachandra Rao, M Rajesh, H Varadaraj, Balakrishna Chandrakanth Kamath.  JK Murthi, Nandalike Balachandra Rao and others were present.
