Mangalore : Senior Kannada writer Nadoja Sara Aboobaker’s autobiography “Hotthu Kanthuva Munna”, was released at the auditorium of Karavali Lekhakiyara, Vachakiyara Sangha in Urwastore on Feb 19, Saturday.
Dr Varadaraj Chandragiri, Principal, First Grade College Bettampady released the book and said the autobiography of Sara Aboobaker can be viewed in three dimensions of struggle in the life.
Giving a brief on the book, Sara said how Islamic fundamentalists have crowled in Muslim community during 1970’s when a large number of South Indian Muslims headed towards gulf countries.
She also expressed the miserable condition of Muslim women and the atrocities committed against them in the name of religion.
Sabiha Bhoomigowda, Professor, Kannada Department, Mangalore University presided over the event.
Roopashri Nagaraj, Vice President, Karavali Lekhakiyara, Vachakiyara Sangha delivered introductory speech.
“Hotthu Kanthuva Munna”, has been published by her own publishing house “Chandragiri Prakashana”.
