Mangaluru: “The Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Environment Minister should be convinced to stop the ongoing Yettinahole project,” said former IPS officer and President of national Ganga river authority Shree Ananda Swaroopa Swamiji.
Addressing the press personnel he said that discussions will be held with both the leaders and a written memorandum will be submitted to them.
“I hope that environment minister will respond positively to our problems, as he was elected as leader because of his fight for the environment,” he said.
Addressing the gathering MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said that this is another freedom fight. The protests should be intensified more.
“Swamiji who is closer to the PM has joined his hands with us. We request them to fill power in our protests. The state government should hold discussions with the people of DK,” he urged.
NRSS President Vijay Kumar Shetty, Convener Dr Niranjan Rai, Anwar Manippadi, M G Hegde and others were present.
