Mangaluru : Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday dismissed suggestions of a Dalit being made the Chief Minister. “I am the CM and would complete my term,” he said.
Speaking to presspersons on his arrival at Mangaluru International Airport here, Mr. Siddaramaiah was responding to a question on reports doing rounds about a Dalit CM.
Meanwhile he cancelled two official programmes scheduled on Friday following a day’s State mourning declared in honour of former Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur.
To another question on Arkavathi denotification, Mr. Siddaramaiah reiterated his position saying he has not denotified even a single acre of land.
On the Railway budget, he said the state would continue with the 50:50 costs sharing policy and providing land free of cost.
