Bangalore : The next state elections in 2013 will be the last election he would fight and then take rest, announced Siddaramaiah, former Dy CM in Patel’s cabinet and now Congress opposition Leader, to say ‘good bye’ to politics in this decade.
He came into Congress from JD-S, dreaming of achieving chief ministership, but had managed to shake up Congress High Command(When Sonia is returning on Friday to India from abroad) and local partymen, with his talk of retirement.
If only the high Command told him, he would then contest for the next legislature elections. If there is political pressure, he would even be an MP from Koppala in a poll next. His 35 years of political experience was enough to spoil his health of late, he would rather retire to lead a peaceful life, Siddu revealed.
But he did not mince words against BJP rule. He had used sarcasm against the new” laughing” CM(DVS Gowda). Only the Corrupt were in his Small team of 26, and there could be an interim election by May 2012, as a result of BJP collapsing on its obesity. But in the next elections(2012 or 2013), BJP will be wiped out, he foretold in a talk with reporters, on Friday September2.
