Six from Dakshina Kannada stranded in war-torn Israel

Mangaluru : Deputy Commissioners of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts have asked the public concerned to provide information relating to their family members who are in Israel for education, employment or other purposes, in the wake of the Hamas attacks on the nation.

In Dakshina Kannada, people can furnish information to the control room opened at the DC office in Mangaluru: 1077/0824 -2442590.

People can also provide information to the emergency numbers provided by the state government – 080-22340676, 080-22253707.

Udupi Deputy Commissioner Vidyakumari has requested public to provide information by contacting control room – 1077 and 0820-2574802.

The Udupi Deputy Commissioner has also said that administration as of now has no information regarding the exact number of people from the district who are in Israel.

The six are stranded at Herziliya, Tel Aviv, Batyam, Netanya, Ramat Hasharow and Hamoshava. Among them, five are from Ujire and 1 from Farangipete and all are serving as caretakers in Israel.
