Mangalore : The South Block Congress members in Mangalore erupted in celebrations on May 13, Monday as Siddaramaiah was chosen as the new Chief Minister of Karnataka.
The celebrations were held in front of the party office at Jeppu under the leadership of Block unit President Narendra Kumar.
Narendra Kumar who spoke to reporters said it was a momentous day for the Congress and added the Congress government would live upto the expectations of the people. He said the Mangalore South Constituency MLA elect JR Lobo would work for the overall development of the constituency and make Mangalore the second best city next only to Bangalore.
Several corporators, and party workers took part in the celebrations.
