Mangaluru: Sports writer Jagadeesh Anchan Sooterpete has been chosen for the D K District Rajyothsava Award 2016.

From past 26 years he is known for sports journalism and he has written more than 2600 sports related articles.

He is also known for analyzing the sports events like cricket world cup, Kabaddi world cup, football world cup, Asian games, Commonwealth games and other major events. His articles have been published in many famous daily news papers.

For his valuable service in sports journalism previously he has been felicitated with Samaja Rathna Award in 2014 in All India Vachana Sahitya Sammelana, in 2013 Media Award, in 2010 Sadhaka Award and also he was awarded by All India Mundala Youngsters Association.
