The special cell of the Delhi police arrested Sreesanth from his friend’s place in Mumbai while the other two cricketers were arrested last night from the team hotel at Nariman Point.
According to reports, the Delhi Police had been tapping phone calls of several bookies and cricketers, and incriminating evidence has been found against these three players.
Two other players are also believed to be under the scanner.
Sreesanth, a veteran of 53 ODIs and 27 Tests, has been in the news for wrong reasons throughout his career.
He had recently sparked off a controversy by taking to a social networking website to express his frustations at the ‘slapgate’ controversy involving himself and Harbhajan Singh.
