Mangalore:  The re-construction of Venkatramana temple at Car Street in the port city, was followed by re-installation of worship idols kept at Balalaya in the main temple with a  circular procession in great devotion and loyalty to the Kashi Math Gurus, was completed on Monday morning by Swami Sudheendra Tirtha and chief disciple Swami Samyameendra at the premises, amidst traditional instrumental music, jai-jai kars in the presence of large crowds of devotees with a fervour more than that seen at Rathotsava which is due by January 27,2012.

Temple Trustees, temple renovation committee members, local social leaders were present. The CM DVS Gowda visited the temple on Sunday evening, before proceeding to Devaragunda, his hometown, by a helicopter.

A Live Garuda(falcon) flew in and sat on the flagmast in front of the temple, just before Pujas were conducted.

Priests performed all the religious rites before taking the idols from Balalaya to the newly consecrated temple, built in stone and covered with silver and golden decorations around the doors.

People dressed in their best, swarmed the temple premises to have a glimpse of he too Swamijis and the installation ceremonies, and partook of the prasadam offerings.
