Bangalore: The intended expansion of BJP state cabinet as on Nov. 3 stands cancelled by an unexpected govt order, possibly linked to BJP High Command advice in Delhi to state leaders, late on Tuesday (Nov.2)
Similarly some of the IAS / KAS officers transfer orders (especially in Mangalore 3 officers) also stand cancelled, but without specifying further postings of Ponnuraj, Dr. Vijay Prakash (MCC) and Ibrahim (KAS) of DK-ZP.
There are tremendous heartburns felt by the would – be Ministers and their followers, in view of last minute cancellation of swearing – in when preparations were half – way through only yesterday(Nov.2). The cancellation is also a blow to Reddy (Bellary) brothers who had initiated expansion of BSY cabinet.
The state BJP Chairman, KS Eashwarappa also lost his face, as he had backed 2 other MLAs who would have been sworn in as on today.
There were some more aspirants for the new ministerships who were sponsored by one leader or the other, who are now found disappointed and furious. The infighting in state BJP at cabinet and party levels has put off the present oath-taking event, and there is no counting of chicken before the eggs are hatched in near future.
All banners, cut-outs, congratulatory messages and sweets for distribution, or crackers for a victory show, stand completely still, engulfed by the floods of postponement indefinitely.
Varturu Prakash is still optimistic of a happy outcome.
