Mangalore : Victim Dhanraj and his supporters submitted a memorandum to the police commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh on October 27, Wednesday for the police torture that took place in Chilimbi while they were playing Cricket.

According to the police commissioner, Urwa Police Station officials have arrested 9 members who were gambling near Chilimbigudde on October 26, Tuesday. The Urwa police had the information of  Dhanraj Poojary’s presence in the group. He was the accused in several cases like teasing girls and murder.
The arrested are identified as Dhanraj (10th std), Yathin(16), Deepak (24), Nithin (23), Mokshit (24), Ashwin (22), Kishan (22) and Dhanush (26).

The students complained on the police officials for torturing students without full information. They mistook a rowdy for a student named  Dhanraj playing cricket and thrashed the students.
Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh assured them that he would  investigate in to the matter.
