Mangalore : Suvarnashree Award instituted by the Akhila Bharatha Billawara Union was presented to M Jayananda Devadiga, Secretary of DK and Udupi District Backward Classes Union, on the occasion of the  Founder’s Day celebrations of the Union and Narayana Guru Educational Institutions on September 24, Tuesday. The function as held at the Damodar R Suvarna Auditorium at Kudroli.

The function was earlier inaugurated by State Minister for Youth Welfare, Sports and Fisheries Abhayachandra Jain. MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Naveenchandra D Suvarna, President of the Akhila Bharatha Billawara Union, Dr Vasanth Kumar, Principal of  Sri Narayana Guru College,  and others were present

As part of Founder’s Day celebration, a blood donation camp was organised.
