Mangalore : Pratap Simha Nayak BJP district president rubbishes the allegation of BJP inducting Prajaprabhutva Vedike president Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi into the party and said that it was just a casual talk took place between Thimarodi with Lok Sabha candidate Nalin Kumar Kateel and RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat.
Speaking at the press meet held at BJP election office on April 14, Monday Pratap Nayak said that Thimarodi was not officially inducted into the party fold and he had approached the BJP candidate on the part of the door-to-door campaign.
It is recalled that Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi, who led the protest against the rape and murder of Sowjanya near Dharmasthala demanding the case to hand over to CBI had severely criticized BJP’s silence over the issue.
In turn Nayak clarifies that the BJP has done everything possible in support of Sowjanya and not forgetting that it was BJP government which had handed over the case to the CoD. It was not right to degrade the name of Dharmasthala Kshetra without any proof, he said.
Former state minister Krishna Palemar said that the undivided district which has four ministers in the state has failed to work for the development of the district. The construction work on the national highway between BC Road and Suratkal has remained incomplete from ten years.
