Mangalore : The thefts have broke open the doors of Megha Electronics and Ganesh Electronics located in Attavar and Marnamikatte, respectively, as well as a cyber centre in Marnamikatte, on the night of Aug 27 Saturday.

The theft came into light in the morning when the owners came to the shops on Aug 28 Sunday.

In the robbery, handsets and Rs. 1 lakh have been stolen. The police arrived at the shops with sniffer dogs and fingerprint experts and the search is going on.

The thieves had  entered the cyber and ransacked the place. The loss at the cyber centre is yet to be estimated.

Bharthi, the SI of Pandeshwar, rushed to the spot. This is the third serial theft reported in the city ina months time..
