Bangalore : Congress leader Siddaramaiah, owing to pain in his legs, on Tuesday, had to discontinue padayatra in Bellary.
He is resting at a hotel in Vijayanagar. To highlight the maladministration of the BJP government, the Congress on January 7 began a padayatra from Bellary to Basavakalyan.
Sources in the party said that Siddaramaiah could not join the padayatra on the second day, as he had to rest.
His party colleagues, however, continued the padayatra to Koppal.
“On Monday, Siddaramaiah walked 20 kms. Thus he has been advised to take two days rest. If doctors allow he can take part in the public rally at a village in Koppal on Wednesday,” sources added.-DH News
