Mangalore: The Mangalore Town Bank which has its two branch at Carstreet and Nagori will inaugurate its third branch at Kavoor on September 11, Sunday at 11 am said CA M N Pai, director of the Bank.
He was speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on September 9, Friday. He also said that the bank provides customers with the facilities such as RTGS/ NEFT facility both inward and outward for easy transfer of funds. They also issue demand drafts throughout India at a very reasonable commission at Rs 1 per thousand. It also provides safe deposit locker facilities at an affordable cost and deposits are covered under Deposits Insurance Scheme (DICGC). The bank has made the profit of Rs 36.06 lakhs.
The bank is shifting the focus area to sub-urban population. Hence Kavoor branch is the first step in moving away from the centre of the city.
The bank has future plans to improve the quality of service to its customers by installing core banking facility, ATM’s, Mobile Banking, Internet Banking in the years to come.
Sri Mohandasa Swamiji of Maanila will inaugurate the new branch. Ratnakar Kamasth Konchady, trustee, Sri Venkataramana Temple Konchady will preside over the event. PR Palangappa, deputy registrar of co-operative societies and BK Saleem, assistant registrar of co-operative societies will be the chief guest.
CA BH Nakul Pai, president, T Govind Pai, vice president, V Vasanth Pai, general manager an U Gopinath Mallya, director were present at the press meet.
