Mangalore, Nov 21: A book release ceremony of “Brahmashree Narayana Guru Mathhu Kshetra Kudroli and “Brahmashree Narayana Guru” were held at Kudroli Gokarnatheshwara Temple on Nov 21, Sunday.
The books based on the historic significance of the life and messages of Shri Narayana Guru, was jointly organized by Brahmashree Narayana Guruswamy Publishers and Charitable Trust and Aathmashakthi tri-monthly magazine.
During the occasion, the book “Brahmashree Narayana Guru Mathhu Kshetra Kudroli” was released by Former union minister B. Janardhana Poojary while the Justice K. Sukumaran, the former judge of Mumbai High Court released the book “Brahmashree Narayana Guru”.
Speaking on the occasion, author Nekkidapuni Gopalakrishna recalled the contributions and sacrifices of Shree Narayana Guru and his effort to lay the foundation for social reform for the backward classes.
Shri Sathyananda Teertha Swamiji of Shivagiri Mutt Seer in his inaugural address that Narayana Guru was a universal leader and not just for a particular caste or community.
Amruth Someshwar, the senior litterateur; K. Chinnappa Gowda, the registrar of Mangalore University; Harikrishna Bantwal; K. Waman; and D. S. Sadananda were also present on the occasion.
