Mangalore : Shailaja Rai, COO of Robosoft Technologies in Udupi inaugurated a national inter-collegiate talents competition ‘Bequest’ at Besant Women’s College on September 6, Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, she said lot of changes has taken place in the culture in the past compared to the culture of our elders. Today if the youths have to learn the values present in the culture of the country, then they must visit to the old age homes, but it will not be possible, hence one must be aware of the culture and must be able to preach it to their children of the coming generation.
India still has the misconception that even though there are different culture in our country and still believes in unity in diversity.
Kudupi Jagadish Shenoy, president of Women’s Educational Society, urged students to display their talents.
Dr. Manjula K. T., principal of Besant Women’s College, welcomed the guests and gathering. Dr. Sudha K., student welfare officer, proposed vote of thanks.
The event includes cultural events such as documentaries, dance groups, general quiz, and others.
