Kasargod : Two persons died and a boy sustained grievous injuries, at Trikkannad in Bekal police station limits on Monday December 26 morning.

The deceased have been identified as Shanmukham (55) from Kotikulam, and his relative, Shivakumar (48).

Babu (14), son of Shanmukham, who suffered serious injuries, has been admitted to hospital.

The mishap occurred when the scooterist lost control over the vehicle and hit an electric pole. The three of them were returning home after participating in the annual fair of a temple in Bekal.

Bekal Police have registered a case.
