New Delhi: In a shocking news report, a 2-year-old baby boy has undergone an operation to ‘give birth’ to his own twins in China.

Xiao Feng (2) was rushed to hospital when his parents noticed he had a bloated stomach and had difficulty in breathing.

It was then that medical staff realised he had been carrying his conjoined twin that was absorbed into his body when they were inside the womb.

The fetus had a fully-formed spine and limbs, including fingers and toes, and was reportedly 10 inches wide, and Feng would have died had doctors not realised his extremely rare condition.

Local camera crews were on hand to catch every moment of his life-saving surgery.

This isn’t the first time such a bizarre case has been reported.

There have been dozens of instances over the last century involving similar cases, most recently in Peru last year when a three-year-old boy was discovered as having the same condition.
