New Delhi: The Central government have announced the rankings of 75 districts, which were chosen by the Central government to survey on cleanliness. Udupi has emerged as 9th cleanest district out of 75. And the 75th place is also belonged to Karnataka’s Gadag.
The survey was conducted by Indian quality assessing academy and the reports were announced by Central rural development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on Thursday.
Maharashtra’s Sindhadurga district has bagged the first place, and then comes Satara, Kolhapura, Rathnagiri, Thane, Nadiya, Midnapura, Hooghly, Udupi and Churu.
“Cities which are at the bottom of the table are not dirtiest cities. They are at the bottom because, they are less clean than the other cities,” said Narendra Tomar.
