Udupi : Hundreds of students from  colleges in Udupi boycotted classes and participated in a protest as part of the call given by ABVP to condemn the gang rape of a medical student at Manipal.

 The protestors gathered near the Clock Tower and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits responsible for the act. They also urged for strict laws that will avert crime against women. Fast track courts should try such cases, they urged.

They also went in a procession to the SP office and submitted a memorandum to the SP demanding immediate arrest of the culprits responsible for the heinous act.
