Udupi: The Udupi Congressmen in the district and town, organised a Victory celebration for the Congress candidate’s phenomenal Success with a lead of over 46,000 votes in recently held by-poll in their MP Constituency, on Thursday, March 22, after the initial waves of winning in Udupi, Karkala and Kundapur.

In Udupi a vehicle procession started from Eluru(7 villages)Mogaveera Mahasabha hall, towards natural port of Malpe, Kalmady, Bannanje, Brahmagrei Congress office, Kinnimulki, and service bus-stand, city bus-stand and many other places on way before terminating at Malpe beach.

The workers raised Party Slogans of victory and burst crackers on way. The rally was led by young Pramod Madhwaraj (whose mother Manorama has embraced BJP again)and the winner JP Hedge himself, who noted that BJP was beaten on its home ground in coastal area.

Hegde attributed the party victory to the hardwork put in by many member-activists.

It was a lesson to those who do not work for common people, but for self-aggrandisement.

Hegde assured to continue his public service, as before, and now in the new role of an MP.

There is an expectation of his joining UPA cabinet. Local leaders and thousands of local working Congressmen, participated in the vehicles rally.
