Bangalore: Venkaiah Naidu, a former BJP president and national leader, speaking to press reporters at Jindal Naturopathy Treatment hospital on Tumkur Road outside Bangalore today(February 2) stated that B.S. Yeddyurappa had to wait till he was freed from all charges faced by him in several court cases, and if necessary, he could return as chief Minister, thus sending a warning note to DVS Gowda who is present CM.
The BJP top leadership was prepared to make Yeddy the CM of the state again, provided that his tainted past had to be cleaned up in courts of law, which takes time.
Naidu agreed that DVS Gowda was doing nicely, so there was no change immediately. He forecast victories for BJP in 4 states in the present state assemblies elections, but left out Manipur. These four are: Goa, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.
Despite Naidu’s frank talk, newspapers carry; headlines to the contrary, as if they had formed the Karnataka Government. They claim they Yeddy may say good-bye to BJP. They quote DVS Gowda that he was not weak, as that is an insult to him as CM. They say Yeddy wants to teach a lesson to Devegowda family in villainy
