Kundapur : Passengers travelling in a speeding bus heading towards Shimoga had a narrow escape when the bus  managed to avert a collision with a lorry from the opposite direction, but swerved on the side of the road. A woman passenger was injured in the accident which took place  near Hunsikatte bridge near Koni on Monday, September 10.
The injured woman has been hospitalized   and is said to be out of danger. The bus driver and conductor  have fled the scene of the accident.
