Hosanagara: CM B.S Yeddyurappa, in his new Avatara, backed by BJP High Command, threw a challenge to his opposition MLAs that he would call a month’s winter session in January next (2011), only to expose Congress / JD-S scandals in corruption and land deals there. He was inaugurating the campaign here for ZP/TP elections today, fresh from past fire tests and with blessings from Delhi leaders.
He assured the listeners that once the Panchayat (higher level) elections conclude, it is time for the proposed legislature session. He warned that he was ready with the “biographical sketches” of the tainted opposition for attacks on him in the near past.
He was certain that people will provide the proper reply to the Congress and JD-S leaders, who insulted him with allegations. He only warned them against taking the issues to the streets as they should discuss problems only in the legislature.
He pointed out that the small rise in power rates was inevitable in recent times, as production costs had gone up. The rate rise would not affect ZP/TP elections, he felt. CM expressed confidence in winning votes by a steady regional development as in Shimoga.
