Mangalore: A 2-day Yoga Competitions were arranged by DK-ZP education department with SDM Mangala Jyothi School in Vamanjoor on Nov. 10/11. DK incharge Minister Krishna Palemar inaugurated the event and spoke on the occasion to participants.

He said Yoga (union of body, mind and spirit) develops a strong will in a supple body. It helps control of thoughts and directs will power to achieve ends (as in Asanas). One develops an independent judgment, pure love, happiness within and away from objects outside. Devotion to masters and service of teachers enables each one of us to reach full freedom and Godhead. As for gurus, they are everywhere, if only one learns from everybody everyday, the Minister stated.

Hundreds of students from schools in districts covering Mysore revenue division, took part in the Yogic Competitions.
