Mangalore: Local Magician Kudroli Ganesh and singer-film actress of Bengal, Vasundhara Das gave fabulous and endearing performances during the dying moments on the night of Monday January 16, when the 5-day old 17th National Youth Festival came to an end at Mangala Stadium on a large decorated stage.

Several programmes were held in about 6 halls in the city, to show the cultural multi-faceted aspects of youth talents. Not only they performed but the thousands of youth talents. Not only they performed, but the thousands of youths participated in several programmes for 5 days all through.

Magician Ganesh presented an awesome combination of magic with folk arts by a traditional dance, borrowed from his reality show in which he was a finalist in December 2011. Singer Das made students dance to her tunes, such as Kolaveri di and Shakalakh baby.

Both artistes were honoured after their performances on the parting Monday night. The festival will not be repeated in the whole state for another 30 years.
