Kasargod : After three decades in Kasaragod constituency congress candidate Rajmohan Unnithan has defeated his strong rival CPM’s K P Sathischandran by 40,438 votes.

Congress candidate Unnithan defeated Sathischandran by a margin of 40,438 votes. Though there were variations while counting in the beginning Unnithan achieved the upper hand in the end.

Rajmohan Unnithan received  4,74,961 votes, Sathischandran 4,34,523 votes and BJP’s Ravish Tantri Kuntar had to be content with 1,76,049 votes.
