Bangalore: The Bangalore Bar Association members in strike, since March3, and boycotting all courts in High Court area and civil courts Complex, have ended their Confrontation with city police and media workers on Tuesday(March 20), after more than 16 days.
The Government of Karnataka, it appears, has bowed to the demands of city black coats, and transferred some local police officers who may or may not have taken part in beating the rowdy lawyers, for pelting stones and setting fire to vehicles in Civil Courts Complex on March 2.
Thus, Gowda government has washed the feet of those uncivilised advocates who took to violating all law and order in Bangalore, for a fortnight.
Those lawyers in 8 to 10 thousand in number from all over the state, have withdrawn their boycott of high court rooms and civil courts as well, as on March 20.
The city is boiling otherwise, on the eve of budget presentation and asking who is the CM who will present the 2012-13 budget.
The tension on lawyers side has dropped down to ground now. Home minister and Law minister have conducted conciliatory negotiations with leading lawyers, and both have succeeded in stopping the strike of bar members.
In the context of this victory, Central region DCP Ramesh, ACP Jitendranath, and DCP Siddaramappa were transferred out of city, according to Home minister R. Ashok.
Law minister Suresh Kumar thinks that policemen committed excesses while controlling a burning situation, involving city advocates in fury.
