Mangalore : Navodaya Gram Vikasa Charitable Trust ® will hand over uniforms to 2 lakhs members of Navodaya Self Helf Group at Loyala Hall on October 1, said M N Rajendra Kumar, chairman of trust.
He was speaking at the press meet held at SCDCC Bank conference hall on Aug 30, Thursday. He also said that the Navodaya Gram Vikasa Charitable Trust will complete its eighth year and moving towards ninth year, hence the trust have decided to give uniform saree’s to 2 lakh members to create unity and equality among them.
He also said that apart from giving the financial facilities to the members, the trust has been providing training and guidance to them. In order to provide good market to the products manufactured by the members, the trust has organized state level exhibition cum sale for three times.
He also said that in 2005 trust organized ‘Kundhotsava’ at Gandhi Maidan at Kundapur, in 2006 ‘Kudlotsav’ at Karavali Utsav Ground, Mangalore and in 2007 ‘Navakundotsav’ at Gandhi Maidan at Kundapur.
The trust is also giving importance to the health of the members and provides equipments for the handicaps, conduct eye camp, financial support to the cancer, heart problem and kidney problem and also conduct the blood donation camp, he said. Navodaya trust has also implemented ‘Jeevan Madhura’ life insurance policy and ‘Chaitanya Insurance Policy’ for accident insurance scheme.
He also said that Naodaya Trust and SCDCC Bank will jointly give the amount of Rs One lakh for Martyr Krishnappa Gowda’s family as the compensation.
Directors of trust like Rohan Montiero, Sudhir Hegde, Ekkaru Monappa Shetty, Ratnakar Shetty, Vinaya Kumar Soorinje, Poornima Shetty, Sudharshan Jain and Parameshchandra Jain were present at the press meet.
