Bangalore: CM Bookanakere Yeddyurappa released a booklet here on Tuesday on “3 years to state Govt: The lamp of development burns bright, giving delight”, in which promise are made all over to give a house (not a slum cottage) to every farming/ working rural family, BPL cards to all who draw less than Rs 27000 per year as the norm, 15000km. roadways growth, efforts to end shortage of electric flow, rain water conservation in a decade, reforms in teachers’ salaries, software system to prevent misuse of food grains distribution in the public(card) system through fair price shops, roads improvement and better use of available resources of every kind, to unveil a new Karnataka of hope, action and prosperity.
Speaking to newsmen, CM sought equal shares of state resources to all families, by developing the state in all directions. Those who did not have a roof over their heads, were promised of a house to live in anywhere in Karnataka.
The deputy commissioners in each district will be saddled with the responsibility of ‘Ashraya’ homes to those who had plots of land. Besides, the centre also had to land its support, he said.
The state govt. has decided to form a Christian development council for the small minority population of Christians in the coastal and malnad area to overcome threats of desecration of their churches and other properties. A Backward classes commission will also be appointed for Dalit Cause, CM stated owning the state responsibility for their neglect hitherto.
