Mangaluru : The Weather Department has issued an orange alert for Dakshina Kannada district on May 19 and 20 and has predicted very heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning. The Department has said the district is expected to receive rainfall between 11.55 cm to 20.44 cm during the period.

Mangaluru : Deputy commissioner warned of a heavy rainfall that has been forecast for the coastal districts during the next five days. The district disaster management authority has issued a red alert on May 18 while an orange alert has been sounded out on May 17 and 19 in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district.
