Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade Releases 'Institutions of Legacy' Coffee Table Book

Ujire : The remarkable educational, social, and cultural journey of the SDM Institutions of Shri Kshethra Dharmasthala has been beautifully documented in a newly released coffee table book titled ‘Institutions of Legacy’. Published by Academic Insights, the book was officially launched by the Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala, Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, at a special event held in the holy town.

Speaking after releasing the book, Dr. Heggade highlighted that the SDM educational institutions, which began under the visionary leadership of the late Shri Ratnavarma Heggade, have achieved extraordinary milestones in the field of education over the past five decades. He noted that they have established themselves as model educational institutions in the state and took the opportunity to praise the dedicated service of the staff, teachers, and management team members who worked tirelessly for the growth of these institutions.

Participating in the event, Smt. Hemavathi V. Heggade appreciated the publication, stating that the coffee table book has turned out to be highly attractive. She commended the hard work and dedication of the editorial and production teams involved in bringing out the work.

Dr. Satheeshchandra, Secretary of SDM Educational Institutions, shared that the book presents a concise overview of the diverse operational fields of Shri Kshethra Dharmasthala through captivating photographs. He added that the work contains comprehensive information about the educational institutions, tracing their growth from the traditional roots of ‘Chaturdana’ (four types of charity) to the ultimate emphasis on ‘Vidyadana’ (charity of education).

The ‘Institutions of Legacy’ book chronicles a comprehensive picture of Dharmasthala’s development, social services, cultural activities, and landmarks in the education sector. Along with this, it extensively covers the history, activities, and achievements of various sister organizations, including SKDRDP, SIRI, RUDSET, and the SDM Dharmothana Trust.

The launch event was attended by D. Harshendra Kumar, Secretary of SDM Educational Institutions, Smt. Supriya Harshendra Kumar, Principals Dr. Vishwanath and Dr. Ashok Kumar, as well as Dhanyakumar, Prashanth B.R., and Aravind. Representatives from the Academic Insights team, including Monisha Rakesh, Moin, Augustine S. Niol, and Madhu, were also present. The gathering expressed that this book will serve as a historical record of the heritage, achievements, and community-centric service of the SDM institutions, inspiring future generations.
