Ullal : A cloud of grief has enveloped the Someshwara region following the tragic demise of a 16-year-old first-year PUC science student who allegedly ended her life at her residence on Sunday evening. The deceased, identified as Samanvi, was known to be an academically bright student pursuing her education at a prominent local private institution. She was the daughter of Shanthi, a resident living near the Someshwara bus stand.
The heartbreaking incident transpired while Samanvi’s mother and elder sister were present at home. According to family sources, the teenager had entered a room under the pretext of taking a bath. However, anxiety mounted within the household when she did not come out even after a considerable period. Sensing that something was terribly wrong, the panicked family members forced open the door, only to be confronted by the devastating sight of her hanging inside.
Upon being alerted, the Ullal police quickly arrived at the scene, secured the area, and shifted the body to a hospital for a post-mortem examination. A case of Unnatural Death Report (UDR) has been officially registered. Investigators revealed that the precise reason behind her taking this extreme step remains a profound mystery, as no suicide note was found at the spot. The police are currently probing all potential angles, including the possibility of intense academic pressure, to understand what led to the tragedy. Samanvi is survived by her grieving parents and sister.
