Mangaluru : Under the aegis of the Delampady Yoga Foundation, the official book launch ceremony of “Mudras for Health” (Arogyakkagi Mudregalu) was successfully held on July 17 at Amrutha Bhavana. The highly anticipated book was formally unveiled by Swami Jitakamanandaji, the revered President of Ramakrishna Math. Addressing the gathering, the Swami noted that yoga and mudras inherited from the ancient Indian sage traditions serve as invaluable tools for augmenting physical, psychological, and spiritual well-being, and integrating them into one’s daily routine can foster a healthy and balanced life.
Presiding over the prestigious event, Dr. Jeevaraj Sorake, the President and Managing Director of SCS Hospital in Mangaluru, shared his perspective on modern wellness. He emphasized that in order to counter the various chronic health issues stemming from contemporary sedentary lifestyles, it has become absolutely essential for individuals to actively adopt yoga, mudras, and holistically healthy lifestyle habits.
The author of the book and renowned yoga exponent, Yogaratna Gopalakrishna Delampady, delivered a compelling special lecture on the theme “Yoga, Mudras, and a Healthy Lifestyle.” During his presentation, he thoroughly explained the scientific significance of various hand gestures, their specific therapeutic benefits, and the systematic methods to practice them accurately in day-to-day life to improve vitality.
The formal event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries on the dais, including Dr. Suresh Delampady, Professor at RNS Institute of Technology in Bengaluru; Prasanna K., Owner of Madhuban Graphics in Mangaluru; and Veena Delampady, wife of Yogaratna Gopalakrishna Delampady.
A large number of yoga practitioners, medical professionals, students, and citizens attended the launch program. The members and disciples of the Delampady Yoga Foundation worked seamlessly together to ensure the grand success and smooth execution of the literary and health-centric event.
