Udupi : A tense atmosphere gripped the Udupi District Court premises on Monday morning following a targeted bomb threat received via email. The sudden threat triggered immediate panic among the court staff, legal professionals, and visitors present on the campus.
Upon receiving information about the threatening email, the Udupi City Police, accompanied by the canine squad and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), rushed to the court complex. The specialized teams immediately cordoned off the area and initiated an extensive, meticulous search operation across the entire premises.
Security personnel conducted a thorough inspection of the court grounds and various sections of the building to ensure safety. As a precautionary measure, security protocols have been heavily tightened around the entire complex, and additional police personnel have been deployed to monitor the situation.
Meanwhile, law enforcement authorities have launched a comprehensive investigation to trace the digital footprint of the email, identify the sender, and determine the credibility of the hoax. Further details regarding the investigation are currently awaited.
