Mangaluru : To commemorate the 101 birth anniversary of the former Prime Minister of India and Bharat Ratna, the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the BJP Mangaluru South Mandal organized “Good Governance Day” (Sushasan Divas) at the Atal Seva Kendra in Kodialbail. The event served as a tribute to the statesman known as ‘Ajatashatru’ for his unparalleled contribution to Indian politics and administration.
Addressing the gathering, Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath stated that Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s ideology of “Nation First, Power Later” continues to be a guiding light for millions of party workers. He noted that the dream of a developed India envisioned by Vajpayee is being realized through the various welfare schemes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Schemes dedicated to the empowerment of farmers, the poor, women, and backward classes are a testament to the fact that Atal Ji’s vision is coming to fruition under the current leadership.
Adding to the tributes, BJP leader Ravishankar Mijar spoke about the visionary administration of Vajpayee, highlighting how his unique leadership style won the hearts of the entire nation. He emphasized that the foundation laid by Vajpayee in sectors like infrastructure and connectivity remains a cornerstone of India’s growth story.
The program saw the presence of Mangaluru South Mandal President Ramesh Kandettu, General Secretaries Lallesh Kumar and Ramesh Hegde, along with former members of the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC), party leaders, and a large number of dedicated workers who paid floral tributes to the portrait of the legendary leader.
