Mangaluru: A 40-year-old auto-rickshaw driver named Vighnesh, a resident of Krishnapura Katipalla, has been reported missing since February 7. Vighnesh, who worked as a rental rickshaw driver, had reportedly left his home informing his family that he was heading to Mangaluru to pick up a rental vehicle and visit the RTO office regarding his permit. However, he failed to return home, and his whereabouts remain unknown, leading his family to file a formal complaint at the Surathkal Police Station.
According to the information provided to the police, the missing person was reportedly under financial stress due to loans and had a habit of excessive alcohol consumption. The police have released a physical description to assist in the search: Vighnesh is approximately 5.2 feet tall, has a wheatish complexion, a slim build, and a beard and mustache with black hair. He is multilingual and can speak Kannada, Telugu, Tulu, Hindi, and Beary languages.
At the time he went missing, Vighnesh was wearing a khaki-colored shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes. The Surathkal Police have registered a case and are actively investigating the matter. The Station House Officer has requested anyone with information regarding Vighnesh’s location to immediately contact the Surathkal Police Station.
