Mangaluru : A magnificent and spiritually charged procession was held on Sunday evening at Sri Kshetra Arkula to mark the dedication of the newly crafted Ashwa Ratha (Horse Chariot). The event was officially inaugurated by Dr. Bharath Shetty, MLA of Mangaluru City North, and Vajranabha Shetty, Dharmadarshi of Arkula Beedu, who offered their prayers and best wishes for the sacred occasion. The beautifully decorated chariot, reflecting the cultural and religious heritage of the temple, became the center of attraction for thousands of gathered devotees.
The grand procession commenced from the Sevanjali Auditorium in Farangipete and culminated at the Arkula Kshetra. Along the route, devotees welcomed the chariot with floral garlands, traditional ‘Aarti,’ and devotional chants, creating an atmosphere of deep piety. The celebration was further enlivened by various Bhajan troupes, folk dance groups, and traditional percussion ensembles. Local villagers, members of various organizations, and several dignitaries, including Krishna Kumar Poonja of Sevanjali Pratishthana, Sadananda Alva, and Ratnaraja Shetty, participated in the event, which showcased the unity and devotion of the community.
