New Delhi : In a compassionate gesture, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar reached out via video call from New Delhi to Mallinath, a Kannadiga survivor currently stranded following the catastrophic natural disaster in Nepal. Reassuring him of full state support, Shivakumar urged him to remain brave and advised against venturing out of his current safe location until official rescue arrangements are completed, emphasizing that the Karnataka government stands firmly behind all affected citizens.
While on an official visit to the national capital, the Deputy Chief Minister initiated the call to boost the morale of stranded tourists during this critical time. He acknowledged that while communication with several travelers from Karnataka remains disrupted, search and rescue efforts are actively underway in coordination with central and international agencies. Urging families not to lose heart, he reiterated that the state administration is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the safe return of every Kannadiga.
