Bajpe: An incident occurred on Monday evening within the limits of the Bajpe Police Station at Yedapadavu, where a group of four individuals traveling on one motorcycle allegedly stabbed and injured a man. The attack was reportedly triggered by the victim attempting to film the suspects.

Victim and Attack Details
The injured person has been identified as Akhilesh, a resident of Poopadikallu in Yedapadavu. Police reported that Akhilesh was traveling on his scooter from Yedapadavu towards Mangaluru when he noticed four individuals carrying knives on a motorcycle. Akhilesh proceeded to film them on his mobile phone. Noticing this, the suspects brandished knives and attacked him, injuring his hand.

Public Intervention and Arrest
Following the incident, the alert public immediately gathered and managed to detain one of the assailants, handing him over to the police. The other three suspects escaped the scene on the motorcycle, as informed by the Police Commissioner.

Ongoing Investigation
The Police Commissioner stated that the identity of all the accused has been established, and all of them will be arrested soon. CCTV footage recorded the four accused emerging from a bar just before the incident. Authorities are currently investigating whether the accused were under the influence of alcohol or any other narcotic substance at the time of the crime. Senior officers are leading the investigation.
